Today marks two years since our wedding day (and more than 11 years together). Last year at this time, I reviewed and critiqued all of the advice we were given as newlyweds-- what was relevant and worked, and what I'd throw to the wayside when passing on advice to other newlyweds.
However, this year, I would say that advice is just that... just advice.
There's no secret to marriage. You simply have to spend everyday doing what you need to do for eachother and having as much fun as you can in the meantime. It's all about figuring it out for yourself.
I could write about the fun weekend adventures and side-splitting laughs we've shared (because I'm that funny), or I could write about the heated arguments and head-to-head battles we've pulled through.
But at the end of it all, the bottom line is pretty simple.
Whether we're laughing or crying, traveling or hanging in for the night, making big plans for the future or getting by one day at a time...
We are blessed.
